Tahini Crisp Bites

These Tahini Crisp Bites are a household favorite snack that combine healthy fats, fiber, and plant-based protein to help support energy and satiety.

Tahini, sesame seeds, pepitas, and ZenBasil seeds provide minerals like magnesium, zinc, iron, and calcium, while the combination of fats and fiber help support more stable blood sugar. The addition of chocolate chips, honey and rice crisps gives them a satisfying crunch and touch of sweetness, making them a nourishing option for a quick snack, afternoon energy boost, or something sweet after dinner.

Tahini Crisp Bites

(adapted from The Ranch Quinoa Tahini Balls)

Makes 20-25 balls

  • 1 cup tahini or black sesame paste

  • ½ cup raw honey (the thicker the better)

  • 2 cups rice crisps

  • ¼ cup chocolate chips

  • ¼ cup ZenBasil seeds

  • ¼ cup pepitas

  • 1 tbsp coconut flakes

  • ¼ cup sesame seeds

  • 1 tsp Maldon flaky salt (½ tsp to add into mix, ½ tsp to finish)

  • ½ tsp coconut oil

Directions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients together. Mix until thoroughly combined.

  2. Place the mix in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes to firm up a bit - this will make for easier scooping.

  3. Using a Tablespoon sized scoop, form the mixture into balls. Keep refrigerated until ready to eat.
